Wizards Central is your HUB for all things Washington Wizards. This site will serve as the home for the most diligent Wizards coverage, aimed to inform a devoted fanbase that’s starving for quality hoops in D.C. Greg Finberg has covered the Wizards for four years while also being a full-time college student and working several beats at his college newspaper, The Daily Collegian. Now that he’s graduated, he’ll be on-site and focused on providing readers with the best Wizards coverage. Come along for the ride!

What will I find on Wizards Central?

This site will serve as a one-stop shop for Wizards news. You’ll find game threads where you can chat with fellow Wizards fans about Trae Young’s latest lob to Alex Sarr or voice your displeasure with the team’s outdated uniforms. You’ll have access to game stories loaded with postgame analysis. The Wizards Podcast, which is released after all 82 games in addition to other episodes, will be available on the site and unlocked for all subscribers. Paid subscribers will have access to game stories filled with quotes from Wizards players and coach Brian Keefe, practice notes, breaking news stories and in-depth feature stories chronicling the journeys of Wizards players, coaches and other important figures within the organization. Greg Finberg is entering his fifth season covering the Washington Wizards. He spent his first year at Wizards Wave and the last three years as a staff writer and editor at Bullets Forever before moving to Substack. While earning his bachelor’s degree in digital and print journalism from Penn State University, Greg never missed a Wizards game. He live tweeted through 243 losses and recorded 240 podcast episodes over those four seasons — a dedication he will bring to Wizards Central.
