WASHINGTON — The final day of training camp has arrived, which means Wizards basketball is on the horizon.

Following Wednesday’s practice, the Wizards are scheduled to fly to New York for their preseason opener at 7:30 p.m. Thursday against the New York Knicks.

Brian Keefe said he’s unsure which players will be available on Thursday. Alex Sarr, who’s nearing a return from offseason foot surgery, is a player to monitor. Keefe already ruled out Jamir Watkins (ACL) and Tristan Vukcevic (hip). Besides the three aforementioned players, everyone is a full go.

“To be determined. Not sure yet,” Keefe said when asked which players are available. “Most of the guys will play tomorrow. A lot of guys will get time. No one will play heavy minutes or anything like that, but expect to see a lot of guys out there tomorrow.”

Will Dawkins said Washington plans on playing its guys against the Knicks, which means the first look at the team’s projected starters (potential minus Sarr), Anthony Davis’ first action in a Wizards uniform and AJ Dybantsa’s NBA debut.

But first, a few takeaways from the last two days of training camp.
